I'm pleased to say that the large collection of silk off-cuts that I had spare has been used successfully up in the production of non-medical masks, over £600 of which has been donated to the NHS.

Due to the current global demand and requirement for masks, I have created a small collection, which is also exclusive to Selfridges, of non-medical adjustable silk masks. The shape is intended to be suitable for multiple face shapes and sizes, due to two adjustable elastic straps. Masks are made and printed in England, and 5% of net profits will be donated to the NHS in support of COVID-19 relief efforts.

I've bought three of your masks from Selfridges - the Antique Floral, the British Butterfly and the Black Tropical Butterfly - plus three of your upcycled masks. They are beautiful and much lighter and cooler to wear than other masks.

Beautiful masks! You are an integral part of people's lives, making this unpleasant item pleasing to wear. It's great that it's adjustable, plus the silk is such a pure fabric!

- Maris

I'm so pleased with my mask! The design is gorgeous and the soft silk makes it so much lighter and more breathable than the cheaper masks I have tried.

Welcome to my new series of drawing tutorials which I will be hosting online every other Tuesday at 6:30pm via Zoom,  in collaboration with my co-working office & members club, Kindred.

Doing a workshop with someone so successful in her field can make someone feel really intimidated but Emily was incredibly humble and kind, making sure that everyone is on the same page and taking time to give everyone feedback for their design! Not only have I learned something new, but I also made a friend! Can’t wait for the next tutorial! Well done Kindred for collaborating with the best!

I participated in a lovely, supportive workshop on how to draw a hummingbird with one of my favourite artists, Emily Carter. During an hour or so, we all managed to draw our hummingbirds with thorough support of Emily. Collective work was truly inspiring and encouraging. To be frank, I always had an aversion to such events. It was important to overcome this fear and I'm absolutely happy I did. Thank you, Emily, again for this opportunity.

We are returning to London Fashion Week this year, but this time we're showing our collection digitally via the LFW platform and JOOR

We're launching a variety of new products, including silk face masks, cashmere scarves and twilly scarves.

Follow the link below to view the collection.

I have recently made the decision to have all my products made by London-based independent tailors.

For a long time I haven't felt comfortable with the idea of having my products made in a factory, as I could not be there to oversee the process or build a rapport with the tailors.

My intention was to create a completely transparent supply chain, and support local, independent tailors. I have chosen a small team of four people who share the same personal and professional values, with the intention of forming a long-term working partnership creating luxury, hand crafted products.

Even though all of our products are ethically produced in the UK, we still feel the need to become more responsible in terms of sustainability.

Therefore, we have replaced all of our plastic, bubble wrap and coated packaging with recyclable cardboard boxes and cardboard envelopes. We are also reducing the amount of paper that we include in your orders.

Our luxury packaging can also be recycled, although we hope that you will treasure your scarf box, and reuse it for other items in future.

The fashion industry is becoming notoriously wasteful, unsustainable and unethical, so we'd be grateful if you would help us by responsibly recycling or reusing our packaging. Thank you!

If you have a specific design in mind for an occasion, anniversary, or simply for yourself, we can create a bespoke design for you. This includes our silk range of scarves, pocket squares, ties and bow ties.

We can also monogram initials or names into your scarf or pocket square or add personalised ribbon to your luxury packaging.

Contact us below for further information on lead times and prices.

We offer a wide range of Corporate Gifts, each with options for branding and individual personalisation.

We can also design a one-off bespoke design and product for you. Our corporate gifts provide a luxury piece of British craftsmanship, with each product made and designed in England.

If you have an idea or simply would like to know more about this service, then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Emily Carter is an award winning British designer based in London, specialising in hand illustrated silk accessories, stationery and furnishings.  The collections incorporate themes from natural history, flora, fauna and scientific illustration to create surreal and unique illustrations and prints.

Each scarf and square tells its own unique story and begins as a detailed original drawing, where endless experiments in colour and composition lead to the finished product.

With an emphasis on exquisite and timeless design, our products are intended to be treasured for a lifetime, and are made using the finest craftsmanship.

Printed on high quality silk and hemmed and packaged by hand, every item is made in England to the highest standard, offering a luxury piece of British design.
